How to use Logic Jumps
If you prefer, you can check out this information in video format.
Logic jumps are effectively quiz decision trees that allow your customers to move through the quiz in a logical order based on previous answers that they’ve given.
Take this quiz, for example. We're looking to create a pet food quiz that will recommend the best food option so we will need to filter our if the pet that our customer is looking to shop for is a Dog or a Cat, so that will be one our first question.
If the customer chooses Dog, we have added two additional questions we want to ask them: the first about whether they prefer dry or wet dog food, and the second about the type of dry or wet food they are interested in, before making any product recommendations.
We need to be able to do this for both dogs and cats. Therefore, we will need to create a total of 7 questions. However, we only want each customer to answer 3 questions, meaning the 3 unique questions that apply based on if they have a dog or a cat.
We call a “logic jump” the ‘jump’ between questions that ensures that if our customer picks “Dog”, they will then be asked to choose between dry and wet dog food, completely bypassing the cat-related questions.
In order to start creating this decision tree, you must Configure Logic Jumps. This will allow you to edit your conditional answers and ‘’tell’’ the quiz which question to go to based on the previous answer. You can find the 'Configure Logic Jumps' in the Logic Jumps tab on the right corner of the screen.
Once all configurations are done, our decision tree will look like this:
Logic jumps aren't limited to single choice questions. You can configure the quiz to jump from any page type—such as a transition, email capture, or customer input question—to any other page in your quiz.
There is also no limit to the number of email capture pages you can include in your quiz or logic jump configuration, so you can fully personalize your customer's journey based on their answer selection.
Please note: the logic jump feature is only available on paid subscriptions.
